Due to increased energy costs, inflation, interest rate rises, the cost of living has increased for all of us putting more people into poverty. I will campaign and support policies which help bring down the cost of living for us all.
As a parent governor of Wood Green Academy in Wednesbury, I have a clear insight into the needs of students and teachers. I will fight to increase standards and funding so all children receive a quality education.
As a regular patient of the NHS, I see the fantastic work done by our nurses, doctors and support staff – working above and beyond everyday. They need extra support and funds to ensure they continue to do their jobs and I will fight to increase funding for the NHS.
In recent years, we have had a massive increase in immigration – both legal and illegal. I will campaign to bring down immigration numbers by ensuring UK border policies are fair and ensure we receive migrants that benefit the UK.
From 2010 onwards, police numbers were cut drastically. This has lead to an increase in crime and anti-social behaviour. We need a more visible police presence and I will fight to increase police numbers to make our streets safer.
The triple lock for pensioners ensures some of the most vulnerable members of our society do not fall into poverty. I will support and guarantee this remains in place for all pensioners to ensure they are able to enjoy their retirement without stressing about finances.
The situations in Gaza and Ukraine have been tragic for the innocent people of those nations through no fault of their own. There are also many other countries such as Congo, Sudan, Kashmir and more where injustices are being carried out. I will be an advocate for all people suffering around the world and will speak out against injustices.
Born and raised in Wednesbury, I will be an independent voice for Tipton & Wednesbury, your local voice on a national level.
I will represent and stand up for all people throughout Tipton & Wednesbury on the matters that affect us the most – bringing down the cost of living, reducing crime, our children’s education, improving our NHS and better border controls.
My experience as a Special Constable and Parent Governor in Wednesbury has given me first hand insight into the problems we face as a community and I now stand as an independent voice to fight for you on a national level.
The UK goes to the polls on Thursday 4th July 2024 to vote for a new government. People all around the country will be casting their vote to select the MP who will represent them in Parliament. Since the last election held in 2019, there has been one major change to how we vote. You must now present photographic identification to the polling station staff in order to vote. Failure to do so will mean you will not be able to vote!
This election vote for Abdul Husen, your Independent Parliamentary Candidate for Tipton & Wednesbury.
Our town centres have been devastated due to high rents and business rates leading to many shuttered shops and businesses. I will fight to regenerate our town centres by securing funding, ensuring empty properties are utilised and cracking down on anti-social behaviour.
With local police stations closing, an increase in crime and anti-social behaviour may impact our streets. I will fight to re-open and save police stations so our communities have local police teams to tackle crime & anti-social behaviour. This cause is close to my heart as I served as a Special Constable.
To rejuvenate our constituency, we need to bring back people to town centres, shopping centres, parks etc. I will campaign for free car parking throughout Tipton & Wednesbury to ensure families and drivers are able to park and use local amenities without the need to worry about parking charges.
I aim to be an open and approachable representative for the people of Tipton & Wednesbury. As I am independent, I am not beholden to party policies – I will only represent your views. Please contact me using the details below to voice any concerns or if you would like more details of what I stand for.
